If you are looking for heart thumping, adrenaline rushing excitement, surf kayaking should be your first choice of watersport! The conditions in the surf are typically more dramatic and challenging than those on any UK river (especially during the winter).

Surf Kayaking As you enter the surf even the smallest of waves can appear intimidating as they crash over the top of your kayak. Larger waves will soon start crashing over the top of your head. Do you have the strength and nerve to paddle through the break? If you do, this is when the fun really begins, where you get to turn and ride the wave all the way back to the shore, travelling much further than any surfboard!

With our sit on top kayaks, this activity is ideal for beginners, who usually find it easy to ride the waves with little practice, You can also have great fun, even in the smallest of surf, unlike surfing which usually takes plenty of practice and a really good surf for a decent ride.

Sit on top Kayak The Kayaks
We use 'Perception Beach & Surf' sit on top kayaks, which are ideal for beginners, no fiddly spraydecks to bother with and if you capsize you can jump straight back on, no having to return to the shore to empty your kayak.

During the winter months you will have a full length winter wet suit, buoyancy aid and helmet (All kit hire is included within the price). You will need to bring a swimming costume, towel, T-shirt (to wear under your wet suit) and suitable footwear ( a pair of old trainers will be ok)
.
